Due Diligence & Risk Management
Maintain a register of approved suppliers and subcontractors, capturing country of origin, certifications, and modern slavery commitments.
Prefer suppliers that demonstrate ethical sourcing practices and hold relevant certifications (e.g. ISO 27001, AS/NZS ISO 9001).
Include modern slavery clauses in all supplier and subcontractor agreements.
Conduct risk-based assessments of new and existing suppliers, prioritising higher-risk categories.
Require suppliers to confirm in writing that their operations are free of modern slavery.
For overseas-sourced goods, seek supplier information about supply chain labour standards and audit practices.
Engage subcontractors only after verifying licences, ABN, insurance, and fair payment arrangements.
Provide confidential channels for personnel and suppliers to raise concerns.
Respond promptly to any identified or suspected instances, including terminating relationships where necessary.
Supplier Code of Conduct
CG Medical requires all suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which explicitly addresses modern slavery. In engaging with CG Medical, suppliers commit to the following:
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and Modern Slavery Act 2021 (NSW).
Not engage in or use any form of slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, debt bondage, child labour, or human trafficking.
Not retain any worker's identity documents (passports, licences) as a condition of employment.
Ensure all work is performed voluntarily and that workers are free to leave employment after reasonable notice.
Pay all workers at least the legal minimum wage and provide clear, written employment terms in a language the worker understands.
Not charge workers recruitment fees and ensure any third-party recruitment agencies engaged comply with ethical recruitment principles.
Provide safe and healthy working conditions that meet all applicable work health and safety laws.
Not employ any person under the legal minimum working age, and not employ children in hazardous work.
Maintain accurate records of working hours and ensure no worker exceeds lawful overtime limits.
Provide a confidential grievance mechanism enabling workers to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
Cascade these expectations to their own suppliers and subcontractors and take reasonable steps to verify compliance.
Notify CG Medical promptly of any actual or suspected instance of modern slavery within their operations or supply chain.
This Code is reviewed at least annually and updated as required to reflect changes in legislation, industry practice, and identified risks. The current version was issued in July 2026.
How to Report
Any person who suspects modern slavery is occurring within our operations or supply chain is encouraged and expected to report it. CG Medical will treat all reports in confidence and will not tolerate retaliation against anyone raising a genuine concern.
Suspected criminal conduct may also be reported to the Australian Federal Police or the Australian Border Force.
